Pain Management at Accurate Clinic
We understanding the difficulties that patients with pain endure. We emphasize educating our patients about understanding and managing their pain with a multi-disciplinary approach. All of our pain management programs provide alternative treatment options including prescription medications, physical therapy, medical marijuana and aromatherapy, nutrition and dietary counseling, evidence-based natural nutraceutical supplements and guidance in meditation and virtual reality therapy.
We provide on-site physical therapy at no extra charge to our pain patients and we also offer a weight loss program with a discount that is also extended to family members.
We do not offer surgery or interventional pain management, such as epidural steroid injections, nerve blocks and spinal stimulators. We do educate our patients regarding these treatment options and provide referrals to pain specialist who offer these services when indicated.
Our Multi-disciplinary Pain Management program options are:
1. Acute Pain Management (pain less than 3 months duration)
2. Chronic Pain Management (pain more than 3 months duration)
- Opioid management
- Non-Opioid management
1. Acute Pain Management
Acute pain is defined as new pain of less than 90 days duration that is generally associated with trauma or surgery. The Accurate Acute Pain Management program is progressive and innovative. It is based on the premise that acute pain must be treated adequately in order to reduce the risk of this pain transitioning to chronic, possibly life-long, pain. It is our contention that in the general medical community, acute pain is NOT treated adequately due to failure to assess for and identify risks for this transition and failure to provide adequate evidence-based, multi-disciplinary and holistic treatment modalities directed at suppressing the development of chronic pain. See:Acute Pain Program
The fee for the first Acute Pain visit is $240 and subsequent Acute Pain visits are $140 per visit.
Opioid and Medical Marijuana Management for Acute Pain
Opioid and/or medical marijuana may be indicated for the management of acute pain but this will be determined by our physician and there is no guarantee that one’s acute pain management will include either of these options. If opioids are prescribed, prescription quantities are limited to one week supplies only and if medical marijuana is recommended, initial quantities are limited to a 30 day supply. See: Medical Marijuana Program
After the initial visit, reassessment for the need for continued opioid and/or medical marijuana management is required before any additional opioids and/or medical marijuana can be prescribed. Every effort will be made to significantly reduce the patient’s pain severity within the first 90 days of treatment in order to successfully wean off opioids by this time. If the patient continues to require opioids and/or marijuana for adequate management of their pain after 90 days, they are referred to the Accurate Chronic Pain Management Program. See: Chronic Pain Program
2. Chronic Pain Management (Opioid)
Upon acceptance for a chronic pain management assessment, the fee for the first assessment visit is $340. After this first visit, if continued opioid management is indicated, subsequent visits will be required on a monthly basis with a fee of $260 per visit. There is no extra charge for medical marijuana management when indicated. See: Chronic Pain Program
Opioid and Medical Marijuana Management for Chronic Pain
Opioid prescription amounts are limited to 30 day supplies only. The determination of which opioid(s) will be determined by the clinician at Accurate Clinic and there is no guarantee that a patient’s requested preference will be prescribed.
If requested, medical marijuana management may or may not be indicated, this will be determined by the clinician at Accurate Clinic and there is no guarantee that one’s pain management will include marijuana. See: Medical Marijuana Program
3. Chronic Pain Management (Non-Opioid)
The fee for the first chronic pain management (Non-Opioid) assessment, visit is $240, while subsequent visits are $140 per visit. There is no extra charge for medical marijuana management when indicated.
Medical Marijuana Management for Chronic Pain
If requested, it will be determined by the clinician if medical marijuana is indicated, and, if so, which cannabis-based product(s) would be most appropriate. See: Medical Marijuana Program
